Tactical Role-Playing Game

Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber is the third game in the Ogre series but Part 6 in the plot, like the first in the series is it a map-scrolling RPG with RTS elements to it.
This game was developed by Quest and published by Nintendo in Japan and Atlus in the US. Unlike most other games in the series, there is no reference to Queen in the title at all and is considered completely original in that sense. The March of the Black Queen (chapter 5) takes place before the events in this game and Let Us Cling Together (chapter 7) takes place after the events of this game.

The gameplay resembles the first Ogre Battle game, but did contain various tweaks that received mixed feelings among fans and newcomers alike. Perhaps unique to the game's artistic style is the complete lack of significant facial features (including a total lack of a nose, on anyone) in most characters in their 3D artwork or character sprites. The portraits that accompany character panels and text boxes, being most specific on facial features, would suggest that this is merely the artistic style chosen and not meant as any kind of literalism.
